A. Seasons & limits

1. Ducks

  • Season: Oct. 24 – Jan. 31, 2016 (Junior may hunting on the Saturday following the closing of waterfowl season extending for 2 days.)
  • Possession limit: triple the daily bag limit
  • Daily Bag Limits: seven (7) ducks, including no more than–
  1. Mallards: seven (7) mallards with no more than two (2) hens/females or
  2. Pintail: two (2) of either sex
  3. Canvasback: two (2) of either sex (up one from last year)
  4. Redheads: two (2) of either sex
  5. Coots & Moorhens: a combination of 25 (either sex)

2. ScaupScaup

  • Season: Nov. 7 – Jan. 31, 2016
  • Possession limit: triple the daily bag limit
  • Daily Bag Limits: three (3) of either sex

3. Geesegeese

  • Season: Oct. 24 – Jan. 31, 2016
  • Possession limit: triple the daily bag limit
  • Daily Bag Limits: eighteen (18) per day, including no more than–
  1. White Geese: fifteen (15)
  2. Dark Geese: three (3)

B. Public Hunting Areas

National Wildlife Refuges:

  1. Sonny Bono Salton Sea National Wildlife Refuge

State Wildlife Areas:

  1. Cartago Wildlife Area
  2. East Walker River Wildlife Area
  3. Green Creek Wildlife Area (limited)
  4. Imperial Wildlife Area
  5. Pickel Meadow Wildlife Area
  6. San Jacinto Wildlife Area

Ecological Reserves:

  1. Baldwin Lake Ecological Reserve
  2. Fish Slough Ecological Reserve
  3. River Springs Lake Ecological Reserve

Other Areas:

  1. Baldwin Lake
  2. Camp Pendleton
  3. Perris Reservoir State Recreation Area
